There is also the line of 'If it talks, it isn't food.' Stated another way (and one I think that *really* unnerved humans) is that if Monsters spend enough devoted time around something, it becomes (either or both) sentient and transformed - snails, for example. Monsters akin to objects, also.

The Monster food aspect is certainly interesting. UT Monsters are mostly magical (universe depending), and Monsters are also highly conceptual. Does 'Feeding the soul' apply as much with food as a craft? How interlinked is sustenance with choosing to continue to exist, thrive, or give to others?

Further thought: what does it take Monster food to exist? Can you... Forget it? Can you hate it for never being enough? Is there a collective curse against anyone who hoards/steals, leading to chain catastrophe?

What if someone was caught hoarding for themselves? *How* do they hoard it, and where? How well would it have to be hidden before they're discovered and both parties suffer? Do they ever even go back? So well hidden that they forget, or put into too dangerous a condition?Do they turn such a grievous

The first thought is hoarding. Even in sheer destitution, so long as everyone has at least something, there is tolerance; as soon as that changes... The consequences are variable.

Is having food stores a path to power? What of the supply? Jealousy?

It chills me to think of what it would mean if they hadn't. As an artist, you have my compassion over all of this. I wish you a steady recovery, and rediscovery of all of the small blessings and good moments in life.
