🖋️ “Congress Must Block the Illegal Renaming of the Kennedy Center” hit 5,000 signers!

Congress Must Block the Illegal Renaming of the Kennedy Center
Text SIGN PPAUEZ to 50409 — I am writing to urge Congress to immediately intervene to stop the reported attempt to rename the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as the “Trump-Kennedy Center.” Federal law is unambiguous. The building “shall be designated as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,” and Congress established it as the sole national memorial to President John F. Kennedy within Washington, D.C. and its environs. Nothing in the authorizing statutes grants the Board of Trustees authority to rename or rebrand this national memorial. Only an act of Congress can change a designation set in federal law. Joe Kennedy III, President Kennedy’s grandnephew and a former member of Congress, has publicly stated that the Kennedy Center “can no sooner be renamed than the Lincoln Memorial,” regardless of claims made by the White House or the Board. That assessment aligns with the plain text of the statute and longstanding constitutional principles regarding congressional authority over federal memorials. Serious procedural concerns further undermine the legitimacy of this action. Despite public claims of a “unanimous” vote, at least one ex-officio board member—Representative Joyce Beatty—has stated she was muted during the meeting and prevented from voicing opposition. This raises grave questions about transparency, due process, and whether the Board acted in bad faith to evade legal scrutiny. Allowing politically aligned appointees to unilaterally alter a congressionally established national memorial would set a dangerous precedent. It would invite future administrations to rewrite history, law, and public institutions by fiat rather than through democratic processes. I urge you to act immediately to: • Publicly affirm that only Congress has the authority to rename the Kennedy Center • Initiate oversight hearings into the Board’s actions and claims • Require a legal review by congressional counsel or GAO • Prohibit the use of federal funds for any unauthorized signage, branding, or contracts • Pass clarifying legislation reaffirming the Kennedy Center’s statutory name, if necessary This is not about partisanship. It is about the rule of law, separation of powers, and protecting a national memorial created by Congress.

🖋️ “Vote NO on Today’s Gender-Affirming Care Ban” hit 100 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PMGPES to 50409
Vote NO on Today’s Gender-Affirming Care Ban
Text SIGN PMGPES to 50409 — I am writing to urge you to vote NO today on any legislation that bans, restricts, defunds, or criminalizes gender-affirming health care for transgender people, particularly minors. These bills represent a dangerous federal intrusion into private medical decisions that should be made by patients, families, and licensed clinicians. Gender-affirming care is evidence-based medicine, delivered under established clinical guidelines with parental involvement and careful oversight. It is supported by every major U.S. medical association and widely recognized as essential care for many patients. A federal ban would override medical expertise, undermine parental rights, and place politicians in exam rooms. That is not limited government, and it is not freedom. Criminalizing doctors for providing medically accepted care sets a chilling precedent that should concern anyone who values medical autonomy and personal liberty. The consequences of these bans are well documented. Denying access to appropriate gender-affirming care is associated with worsened mental health outcomes, including increased rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide risk among transgender youth. Congress should not knowingly advance policies that increase suffering or place vulnerable young people in harm’s way. These votes are not about protecting children—they are about imposing ideology through government power. Families facing complex medical decisions deserve support, not punishment. Doctors should be guided by science and ethics, not fear of prosecution. This issue also extends beyond one community. If Congress can ban one form of medically accepted care today, it can do the same to others tomorrow. Allowing lawmakers to substitute politics for medical judgment threatens the integrity of health care for everyone. I urge you to oppose today’s vote on any bill that bans or restricts gender-affirming care, cuts off coverage, or criminalizes providers. Congress should protect medical freedom, respect parental authority, and keep government out of private health care decisions.

🖋️ “Release the Full Strike Video and Investigate Unlawful Killings at Sea” hit 250 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PSFWDS to 50409
Release the Full Strike Video and Investigate Unlawful Killings at Sea
Text SIGN PSFWDS to 50409 — I am urging you to demand the full, unedited video of the September 2 strike in the Caribbean and to open immediate hearings into the legality of this operation and the broader campaign of lethal force the Trump Administration is conducting without proper authorization. Members of Congress who viewed the September 2 footage described a deeply disturbing scene. Rep. Jim Himes said he saw two individuals in clear distress, without any means of locomotion, clinging to a destroyed vessel—killed by the United States. He called it one of the most troubling things he has ever seen. Admiral Frank “Mitch” Bradley has now admitted the survivors were not communicating with anyone, contradicting earlier justifications leaked to the press. Instead, he argued they might someday “continue their mission” because the wreckage could contain cocaine. A source familiar with the briefing called this rationale “f*cking insane.” Legal experts agree: even if the administration’s dubious claim of an “armed conflict” were true, killing shipwrecked or incapacitated survivors is manifestly unlawful under the Geneva Conventions, the UCMJ, and maritime law. Meanwhile, the killing campaign continues. As the Guardian reports, the Pentagon has now conducted its 22nd strike, killing four more men in the eastern Pacific, bringing the death toll to at least 87 people since September. The Pentagon and White House are visibly struggling to explain the legal basis for these attacks. Disturbingly, The Independent reports that Pete Hegseth pressured Admiral Alvin Holsey, then-head of U.S. Southern Command, to stop questioning the “murky” legality of the strikes, telling him: “When you get an order, you move out fast and don’t ask questions.” Holsey was pushed out after raising concerns. Members of both parties have raised serious alarms. Rep. Mike Turner warned that Congress lacks accurate information and noted that even if the people aboard these boats were guilty of drug crimes, they are not subject to capital punishment. Turner and Sen. Rand Paul have also warned that these attacks appear to be laying the groundwork for military action in Venezuela, about which Congress has received no lawful notification under the War Powers Resolution. Sen. Jack Reed said the briefing “confirmed [his] worst fears” and demanded the release of the complete, unedited footage. Sen. Paul said the video of shipwrecked survivors being bombed “should be shown to every American.” At the same time, extremists are celebrating the killings online, and Hegseth has publicly encouraged them. Congress must now: 1. Obtain and release the full September 2 video. 2. Hold immediate hearings on legality and oversight. 3. Compel sworn testimony from all involved officials. 4. Suspend or remove anyone responsible for unlawful killings. 5. Prevent any unauthorized expansion of hostilities, including toward Venezuela. This is urgent. Please act now.
