yeah like you gave them a chance to say something in that session 0, and avoiding bringing up something something that i do agree is well in-bounds for a horror game created a larger issue. if they thought they were causing fewer issues, i hope they're reconsidering how they approach this

my other group asked someone to leave after a few issues with them taking over other people's story elements, strategic actions i said i would do, and getting frustrated if they weren't the strongest in combat. we tried to work with them, but the dm eventually called it

i think letting them in on it may help a little, but when i hinted (during a non-game hang out) that it was something i wanted to try, they said fairly directly they wouldn’t want a party with that. which is fair, but sad
