So, I'm reading Quality is Free by Philip Crosby, written in the wayback times of 1979. Unexpectantly, I came across this little gem; he's speaking of business management but this is such a relevant thing on what's going on today that I had to mention it.

So I hit BlueSky, after not being on it for a while, and I get a bunch of sky pictures. As it happens, I took one yesterday! Los Angeles Valley evening.

This is a really incredible series, written by a really wonderful person. I can't wait to start book 3.

Authoritarians love "Gen AI" because it
- Sounds confident even when factually wrong
- Broadly conforms to & reproduces their biases, off the shelf
- Lets them create bespoke realities (text, audio, moving & still image) which agree w/ their biases
- Degrades trust in knowledge/evidence/expertise…

Reminder - the 5 Calls App provides scripts, telephone numbers, and connects you to your politicians really easily. Make calls/comments and tell them you disapprove of what's happening.

Political offices track key words/themes in these calls. Overwhelm them. Make it known you don't agree.
