There's an obscure Swedish fighting game for Windows released in 2001 called Imp that made you buy each character individually. I don't think this counts as DLC, though; instead of a download, they each came on their own CD that needed to be in the drive to use them.

I got one of the deluxe cases for the Switch in 2017 and it had a weird smell for years. Would not recommend.

Huh, I didn't know Shuma-Gorath was related to Conan, or that Conan is now owned by the guys that made Daze Before Christmas for the SNES.
