The Warren County Board of Supervisors is considering taking the money allocated for Library Services in Warren County (which were allocated to the Warren County Library Board, not Samuels Public Library), slicing it up, and giving it to other county departments.

Samuels Public Library is the library of my childhood. I would check out the same books, over and over again, sitting in the orange and yellow plastic chairs of their old building. I’ve spent the last decade working in public libraries myself. Libraries belong to the people. #OurSamuels #SaveSamuels

In a post that is not horrifying news about the library world - I read 4 books in March! I checked them all out through the library! Including Sunrise on the Reaping, the newest addition to The Hunger Games series!

One thing I love almost as much as public libraries? The National Park System! Federal and public lands! I’m lucky to live within a hours drive of many national parks and forests. They should be well-funded and supported.

Yesterday I went to see Shucked in DC. I also got rid of my Spotify Premium a few months ago, which means I must suffer thru ads and can’t download playlists. You know who has the whole soundtrack?? MY #LIBRARY ON FREEGAL AND IM SO EXCITED.

In 2023, Samuels Public Library was inundated with 784 Request for Reconsideration forms. Nine of those forms were submitted by the current Chair of the Warren County #Library Board, Eric Belk.
