Unmistakable. This ridiculous hummingbird has the longest bill in relation to its body size of any bird in the world. In addition to the striking bill, look for the overall muted green body color with a bronzy head. Found in the temperate zone of the Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia, from around 2,500m to 3,500m. Occurs in montane forest and edges, where it uses its bill to feed from long tubular flowers. Visits feeders.

i live over an hour from the cities and even in these smaller communities ICE is going door to door. There are workers trapped on roofs hiding when it’s below freezing. Minority owned businesses are closing. Some of my friends stopped going in public.

I think any gender can do this, but I think it’s particularly rampant among men.
I think people raised as girls were more conditioned to have empathy and “think about how that person feels”, and more conditioned to believe that you possibly don’t know everything, than people raised as boys.

They want to get mad and defensive instead of taking the feedback to heart and critically examining themselves, because the patriarchal culture has conditioned them to deem themselves always right. So any criticism is an attack.
