Really frustrating to see CBC manufacturing consent to gut Canada Post!

<$1B invested in a 100% Canadian public service to deliver things coast to coast to coast & employ 62k ppl securely? “unsustainable”

$3-$30B /yr for 147k ppl to have boom-bust jobs for private, foreign oil & gas? “necessary”

PSA:

When you get an email from any kind of civic group (community org, political group, charity, sports league, whatever)

And you take time out of your lovey Friday evening to type out a hateful, mean & angry email (like below)

You’re not sticking it to the man - you’re literally emailing me!

Awesome bike day! This was us rolling in to City Hall as the Gage Park group ride.

Huge thanks @cyclehamilton.bsky.social and all the folks who make this cool event happen every year :)

And if you missed it, go join a group ride this summer! It’s a lot of fun & you meet great people

And huge thanks to those who voted and supported our Green team ✅

Housekeeping: we will be coming around to collect all our signs over the next day or two! If you have one just leave it up or at least out (e.g. your porch) and someone will come by to pick it up!

And don’t just take my word for it! Thanks to everyone who flooded my inbox and messages with words of support that I used my platform as your Green candidate to make an impact here in Hamilton Centre 💚

Also took a little time to relax at the end of the day walking on the Bruce Trail, which we are so lucky to have running right through Hamilton! We need more corridors like this in #HamOnt and across Ontario, they are good for nature and for people!

In the Delta street trees help to keep cool, absorb water, improve air quality, and make walking around the neighbourhood better for residents’ mental health! Also came across several permeable driveways that help manage water runoff and stay cooler in the summer.

Victoria Park is home to a community garden which are a great way to give all residents (especially those who don’t have access to yard space!) a chance to grow their own fresh veggies/fruit/etc. There’s also plants to feed the pollinators that make growing our food possible!

Today was the last day of door knocking in #HamOnt centre! I was out in Strathcona in the west and the Delta in the east, and wanted to share some cool green infrastructure examples spotted along the way…

People have been asking and yes - I will be running again as the Green candidate in Hamilton Centre this provincial election!

But this time I’m thrilled to be part of a team of fantastic Green candidates across Hamilton (stay tuned!)

If you’re in Ward 2 like me, come out to this Climate Adaptation Town Hall on Tuesday! Thanks to @cameronkroetsch.bsky.social for hosting an important discussion about how we get climate ready right here in #HamOnt.

I’ll be representing @hamilton350org.bsky.social :)
