the beautiful moment when I realized that this is MY stupid comic and stupid fantasy world, I absolutely CAN give people slutty outfits for a temple celebration without really explaining or exploring why their deity asks to be worshipped tits out on festive occasions.

that's how I normally work, I can't start pencils if I don't have the lettering mostly finalized already, it's such a massive part of the overall page balance.
My most strongly held comics opinion (I hesitate to say "opinion," because it's a fact): lettering should be the first finished thing done, not the last. Done after (or along with) roughs and finalized before pencils. Pencils and inking should be done AROUND the lettering.
