But but but Nigel, that would require spending money! And what's worse, that very same money could be used instead for much more critical and productive activities, like fixing potholes! Have you thought about potholes, Nigel?

Finally! The thing that boggled my mind is that to get there they had to literally drive through a gigantic and always-empty parking lot, there's no other access

It is absolutely ridicolous how we let ~15 people take an enormous amount of public space for free, day and night, especially with 6 pubs/restaurants/cafes along that waterfront.
Also this should have been part of the LTN and closed for through traffic at the far corner. CC @chasbooth.bsky.social

I'd like to meet the 3.8% who voted Greens 1st pref and reform 2nd pref. Just to ask if they are doing okay and to blink twice if they need help

There's not really any specific scheme per se, there are DEFRA/EU rules and protocols to follow, and anyone providing transit has to follow them, including ferry companies and airlines.
Check microchip both ways, check vets docs for rabies vax and tapeworm pill when coming back in the UK.

It's nonsense - literally every train in Europe allows dogs, including long distance ones, there is no "toilet" problem.
Dogs are not confined to vehicles in Le Shuttle either.

Not really, you can travel with pets in the eurotunnel with a taxi or car. You need a desk and personnel to with a microchip scanner at check-in to verify the docs, but that's about it, it's a solvable problem

And now for the most important question: will they allow dogs onboard?

Excellent news, thank you and thank to the other councillors for their excellent work pushing this through the finishing line!
Next step: modal filter at the corner between Tower Street and The Shore 😀
