Hill walking today by Pendle. Absolutely destroyed my knee on the way back. Didn't even walk that far but I'm going to be stiff tomorrow.

You've heard of Pangea but have you heard of Laurasia? Who knew I had a whole supercontinent named after me?!

75% of children passed the reading test. When you consider that government figures state that last year nearly 20% of children in England have SEND (and over 10% rise in EHCPs since the previous year) I think the pass rate was pretty good - especially considering 32% of children 1/2

Feeling positive about the future of politics in the UK for the first time in years.

And what about this says we can get another 10% to pass? Has the number of disadvantaged pupils lessened? Doubtful.

Thanks. I tried reinstalling Adobe but it won't let me. Says it needs 'elevation'. I've referred it to our tech providers. It's just really frustrating as I'd planned to do the work today. Can't do it next week as too busy. Can't do it next weekend.

Post mammogram shopping might not have been the best idea.

This is an absolutely brilliant book with sadly only one other book in the series. Needs to be more! Padraig Kenny agrees but says there wasn't enough interest. Booooo to this. We demand more from Rookhaven!

This is mine. Normal shops are everywhere in Finland, Sweden and Norway. This was the first one we saw. Unfortunately it was next to a Subway so Mr B helpfully doctored the photo. 😂

Just finished Book 5 - the last installment of Crookhaven by @joelarcanjo.bsky.social and like the others I couldn't put it down. Absolute page turner. Someone needs to turn these books into films.

This was a good read. 7 of the 9 books I've read so far this summer have been adult fiction which is quite unusual for me. Getting back to my children's fiction TBR pile starting with the final installment of Crookhaven by @joelarcanjo.bsky.social

Last full day of the holiday today. We went to Helsingor and to Kronborg Castle - the setting for Hamlet. I've now been to his house, the church he was buried in, The Globe, the balcony in Verona, Venice and here. Have I completed the set?
