The Rolling Stones journey can get confusing between the UK and US releases, but I am considering this #2! Brought my 30-something’s back for round 2. Quick impressions - cover heavy again, a bit more guitar driven, Under the Boardwalk was rough. 🤘🏻 #vinylsky

The Rolling Stones journey has begun! Had a couple 30-something’s join in. First listen for all of us. Quick impressions - struck by number of covers, blues influence more obvious than anticipated, Keith dropped the ‘S’, Stereophonic ain’t stereo (we listened to ‘72 repressing)! On to #2 🤘🏻 #vinylsky

I’ll go ahead and comment on my own post. This is better…

@wxpnfm.bsky.social - this as artsy as I get. Thanks for an awesome weekend! 🤘🏻🎵

Thanks for keeping me in the loop Bruce. This has been a great day of music!

What a great night and awesome shows!

Always been more of a Beatles guy, while my good friend is all about Mick & the boys. I'm diving into the Stones' discography—hitting up my local record shops for as much as I can find! I’ll be posting after each record. Not sure how long it’ll take, but I’m excited for the journey! #vinylsky

Not so random play of the day. I came for Valerie, but stayed for The Girl from Ipanema. My first full sized 45, needless to say 33 was a different mind of experience. Are full sized 45’s common? #vinylcommunity

Been a bit for a fun rando play on the turntable. I’m partial to Ruthym of the Saints, but I love this track from Graceland. The harmonies are beautiful.

Maybe it’s a Philly thing, but the Philly Sound always feels like a warm hug. I was too young to catch Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes live. Never saw Teddy in particular until after his accident. Thanks for Discogs for dialing up some great Philly chill with “To Be True” tonight. 🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Discogs spun up a great rando for me this morning “Goodbye Yellow Brock Road”. I just finished listening to Brandi Carlile’s audio book last night (highly recommend) where she affirms her Elton super fandom, so this play seems right for today! 🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Ah, Discogs helping me venture back into Prog-land. I was the odd ELP fanatic in 1980’s middle school. All 3 men are amazing, but WBMFSTNE-L&G is Keith’s album to shine as he always did live (even when stabbing the keyboard). Awesome gatefold as well! 🤘🏻 vinylcommunity

You know the night is all about the music when you don’t take a single picture of you and your companion. Great first night! @wxpnfm.bsky.social! 🤘🏻#NONCOMM

Vinyl gives me a chance to stop and realize the impact music has on me. Love that Discogs chose Hooked on Classics II. My mom was my earliest musical influence and the original Hooked on Classics was always on. She had “real” classical albums, but her neophyte son loved that one! ☝🏻 #vinylcommunity

Discogs popped with another from my mother-in-law’s collection, The Golden Hits of Lesley Gore. Would Lesley be the first album off the shelf for me on a Saturday? Of course not, but that’s what I love about listening to rando’s! You do you Lesley! 🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Spun the Discogs wheel early today and the gods spun out Turnstiles by Billy Joel. Great album featuring the best song to test the meddle of any would-be dualing pianist. Shout out to Dr. Bobby Fingers in Philly for killing it when my buddy and I requested it back in the day! #vinylcommunity

From the darkest depths of Mordor, Discogs spit out Led Zeppelin II for the spin of the day. I had a whale of a time picking the snippet to feature from this album. Nobody’s gonna like my choice so I’ll “Thank You” in advance for being gentle. 🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Discogs randomizer takes me boldly into prog rock today with The Yes Album, and I go boldly in Bluesky video! Pictures just don’t do justice to Jon Anderson harmonies. Silly human race indeed!🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Yup, it’s a rando trifecta. I can’t help but envision the claymation snowman when I hear Burl Ives sing. You haven’t lived until you imagine that snowman singing Yesterday which is covered by Burl on this album. Side note, this was one of my dollar bin gems from Vinyl Rival in Qtown! #vinylcommunity

Diving back into my M-I-L’s collection for my second rando of the day. Mary Wilson and the rest of the Supremes make a good Tuesday afternoon soundtrack. Sorry, I couldn’t resist poking a little fun Diana Ross’s spotlight grabbing tendencies (I’m sure she’ll survive my sarcasm ). 😂🤘🏻 #vinylcommunity

Travelled to a wonderful family reunion over the weekend, but now jonesing for Discogs rando’s! I’ll probably have a few today, but starting by casting some stones with Billy Joel! #vinylcommunity

Ok Discogs, I may call bullshit.Too many “C” bands in your rando-algorithm. Regardless, today’s feature is Rita Collins, Whales and Nightingales. Special shoutout to the humpback whales for their work on “Farewell to Tarwathie”. This came from a collection found in my childhood home. #vinylcommunity

I love alliteration so why not some rando Rita on Tuesday! Yet another from my m-i-l. I swear I do own other records. My wife probably thinks I’m looking for brownie points. #vinylcommunity
