Today marks the final day of the #MAMII data collectors’ training. Supported by @gatesfoundation and implemented by the Government of Nigeria with @fmoh_nigeria, @nphcda & NMCN, and led by @lstmnews & @NOIPolls, the project aims to improve maternal and newborn care in Nigeria.

Nigeria’s maternal and neonatal mortality burden remains high. Under the Gates Foundation, supported #MAMII, LSTM has commenced training #EMoNC master trainers as data collectors for a competency-based maternity care study.

The #MAMII project, supported by the @gatesfoundation.bsky.social, successfully completed Round 2 data collection across 33 Nigerian states, covering 2,557 health facilities and 20 midwifery training institutions. This effort continues to reduce maternal and newborn mortality ratio in Nigeria.
