The police are arresting hundreds of ordinary people for the “crime” of saying they oppose Israel’s genocide and support a group that is trying to stop British-made weapons from being used in genocide.

These people are not criminals, they are heroes. History will redeem them!

We need increased renewables production. But without a drastic reduction in fossil fuel production, the planet will be none the cooler. We need to end energy addition and move to energy decommission. This is only possible if we ditch the cult of capital! www.theguardian.com/environment/...

If any of you are in the Brighton/Sussex area, I'm doing an extended presentation on Wednesday on my current research on fossil fuel phaseouts, with a focus on Denmark's 2050 phaseout and ban on most new licenses. I'll discuss my empirical, methodological, conceptual, and theoretical contributions.

The agriculture carbon tax excludes emissions from fossil fuel and fertiliser use. Yet the main culprit of agricultural emissions is nitrogen fertiliser, which will be reduced by only 20% by 2027! This doesn't address how hypoxia has destroyed most marine ecosystems. Danish waters look like this:
