I’m even more amazed now. Never thought I’d say a wasp’s pretty 😆 but it is!

Ah, I have the same issue with my first year roses. Our summer has been very dry, too. Is the pale peach pink rose on top a Queen of Sweden rose, by any chance?

Aww, thank you so much for your kind words! 💝 I’m currently 600+ hours into this painting, and I still need 1-2 full days to finish working on it. I can’t wait to get it professionally scanned!

Thank you, Daniel! I hope Tuscany will get there by the end of this summer 🥹 Or maybe next year, then… Here’s a second rose I planted: a modern hybrid called Pierre Hermé: this rose was chosen by a famous French pastry chef Pierre Hermé himself, to be named in his honor 😍 it’s very fragrant!

Unfortunately, my Tuscany has produced blind shoots so I’ll be pruning it this weekend 🥹 On the bright side though, my Gertrude Jekyll is currently in bloom, so I’m doing some color studies:

Thank you. Covid was really rough on my body, and I still need two types of inhalers to breathe normally, but I do feel much better. So glad to hear you’re doing better, too! Have a fabulous week, Ross! 💝 Happy painting 🙃
