After all the previous weaponization of food assistance (withholding SNAP) that the end of the shutdown should have stopped, the White House is saying every SNAP recipient must reapply now. That’s estimated to be 42 million people. The food weaponization against Americans continues. Vile.

That was the first thing I thought when I heard the news. Initially figured it was a miscommunication regarding the meeting spot. When confirmed, it seemed odd to hold a seemingly trivial meeting in such a secure location. Now we know.
This is an excellent point.
