Sadly The West has not armed Ukraine sufficiently and their half hearted support will make them fight a war in Europe on their land. The only chance is send all weapons to Ukraine NOW with no restrictions on how they are used. If not Europe will be at war soon enough, then China will go for Taiwan

Using an AI search I only came up with Italy in 78 as a similar sized country with similar military where a group kidnapped their PM. This could be locals. His own Army might be involved? Working with the US. Can't believe we would get in there ourselves to do this.
