It's just terrible, in my own opinion, to see the rise of fear when we are probably about to make some great strides as a species. Maybe these things are related.

As a resident of the USA, that I walk the Earth with such people in 2025 continues to astound. It is amazing to watch the attitudes of humorless anabaptists live on centuries after they colonized this place.

It's weird that we are on the cusp of so much progress and this creeps into view again. Maybe invisible because we are about to make great leaps, I sometimes think.

That some believe that human rights should be negotiable and not just a function of being human says a lot about the people who believe it is a negotiable item.

That some believe that human rights should be negotiable and not just a function of being human says a lot about the people who believe it is a negotiable item.
But also that a lot of people still see rights as a pie and see other groups as wanting larger and larger pieces, which means less for them, when this is exactly the wrong way to see it. Men in particular seem to sometimes still see themselves as special or anointed when they've never really been.
