Thanks to Cyrill Rigamonti and his wonderful PhD students at the University of Bern for hosting me in Bern last week and to the students for great comments on my presentation about trademark and free speech law when I gave a lecture on this topic in Prof. Rigamonti’s class. I had a great visit!

Last night I attended the Sting/Billy Joel concert in San Diego with my good friend and colleague Miranda Perry Fleischer. In between the singers’ excellent performances, we discovered the Dean of USD law and other USD colleagues were there too. Fun times. USD law rocks!

Thanks to WorldIPReview for inviting me to speak about trademarks and free speech yesterday at #WIPRTrademarksNA. I learned a lot from the other presentations and enjoyed chatting with the trademark attorneys at the event. Sorry to miss it today but I have to teach my classes!
