They should be afraid. I don't think I am that unique & I felt pure rage for those 8 Quislings. That was a very stark line in the sand. The 8 who crossed it, conveniently have safe seats.

This Halloween, Beware! The Big Scary Radical Left Agenda • Equality Under the Law; no person is above the law. For real. • Law that is Just and Fair, due process for all. • Universal Healthcare, no middle-man insurance taking a cut or making health decisions. • Safe, secure food supply. Children should not go hungry because of politics or economics; there’s plenty of food to go around. • Corporations are not people. They are instruments, constructs. Take away “personhood” rights of anything that doesn’t breathe and bleed. • Election finance reform. Public funded with limited private donations from registered voters only. It should not cost so much to hold an election. Electioneering permitted no more than 9 months before election day. No more constant campaigning for years on end. Election results not announced for a minimum of 72 hours after election day. • Representative government that prioritizes healthy environments and people - with fully vetted public servants who understand they work for THE PEOPLE; not lobbies, which should have strict limits. • Term limits and age limits for all federal positions, including the court. Gov’t should be more representative of the electorate, which doesn’t have an average age of 85. • Gun reform. There’s lots of room for improvement and safeguards. Starting with, children shouldn’t be murdered in schools and parks and homes because of the politics and culture identity wars of adults. • Tax reform. Graduated tax tables so the rich and wealthiest pay their fair share. Corporate tax structures that are fair. Also, examining third party costs which have been shifted to the public. • Free public education, Pre-K through high school. Free 1-year trade schools, junior college, apprenticeship programs. National Service tuition program for post-secondary college students. Truly! TERRIFYING, huh?

Albert Einstein endorsed democratic socialism and critiqued the inherent flaws of capitalism. He saw it as a moral imperative aimed at overcoming the "predatory phase" of human development. Pretty smart man. More of us should consider this approach. Read his "Why Socialism" published in 1949.

Today's #WIPSnip word is "river".
Also today, I begin my first read and edit after completing the rough draft. I've let it sit a month, it's time.
Jimmy realized he smelled the salt of the sea and could faintly hear waves crashing on the coast below them and not much else. They traveled southward, hugging the coastline, on their left, high cliffs above the ocean, on their right nothing but a line on the horizon. The cliffs began to flatten out and the land below became a tangled snake of deltas and spits. The smell of smoke was stronger here, socking in the coastal valley. Willa raised the carpet and Jimmy noticed the air chill his skin. They turned west. The scene in front of them was like nothing Jimmy had ever seen. The large strips of farmland were relatively untouched, but just beyond that in the communities that formed along the base of the mountains, a large horizontal gape had opened up in the land. The mountains had shook and shivered and delivered tons of earth into rivers, onto roads, homes. Total devastation. Even further to the southeast, just beyond the tree line in the mountain range, an angry orange and pick fluorescence glowed on the horizon. The fire was massive. There are times in a person’s life when words are puny. Jimmy and Willa felt this and the rest of the flight was made in silence.

Snip of WIP says, To Corbit’s right sat Gale, who was just slightly older than Willa and had been born into the same line as Willa, The Whistlers. But Gale was gifted with skills of not only wind instruments, but she could control the very wind itself and become an instrument of the wind. That gift and the skill required to master it was very helpful on the battlefield, where knowledge of an unexpected dust storm made all the difference to survival. Or winds that pushed hard on advancing enemies and wore them down before reaching their target. Gale was a force to be reckoned with and Willa was grateful she was on their side. Still relatively agile and active, Gale stood in greeting, indicating Willa should have a seat across from the Triad. Willa felt a little put on the spot.

Happy #Caturday from my cat, Abner and his newest friend. Fawn comes daily with it's mama to say hello and sometimes pick up some apple slices, which Abner doesn't understand. This year, I've refrained from naming babies that occupy our property (1 of 6). It's better that way.

Yesterday I shared slipcovers for an elementary #classroom that I'm making from a waterproof fabric that I had tons leftover. Today I was wondering how other #teachers who can't afford to purchase material could do something at little to no cost. Boom, the Walmart bag slipcover. EASY! Can be no sew.

here I am making chair slipcover thingies to hold folders & such for twenty 1st graders in my #teacher /daughter's class for when school starts in 2 weeks. They're gonna love 'em!
