I was actually thinking something similar. Around the 2000s there was a narrative that we didn't have the resources or space for the clean energy generation necessary to maintain current lifestyles. I am not saying that's no longer the case, but I do wonder if it is.

But also! The UK's digital govt is really very good. If you want to put investment somewhere, give the money to the local authorities who are having to hollow out service provision and replace everything with Copilot. Finding new ways to justify Blair's pet project doesn't look strategic or strong.
