I wrote a book about a mad king who takes over a city, Münster, Germany in 1533, stokes apocalyptic fever dreams of Christ's return, and in 16 months brings it to ruin. Seems kind of timely somehow.

Niebuhr’s reputation as a towering public intellectual is well earned. But he was at his most dynamic as a preacher. Really enjoyed digging in to one of his sermons with the LTN crew! @lovethyniebuhr.bsky.social
