Increasingly looks like USA is not able to be saved unless it's a death and resurrection scenario. The old order has become too corrupt. If this moment comes to an end (and it will), return to status quo political order will be monumental failure to create more just society.

I know this is what Putin wants, but, would a split of USA be such a bad thing? The abusers of power in control will oppress us as much as they can. Is this the way we're meant to live? There is nothing sacred about nation-states. They come, they go. Perhaps it's time for that national divorce.

What we are seeing in the USA is quite an amazing, but pure evil, situation where malevolent, power craving billionaires have installed a malevolent idiot trained in simple cons into the most powerful office in the USA, and they allow him to steal or destroy things they don't want... like democracy.

If you look at states/empires as being akin to crime families (as St. Augustine did), you'll always interpret the world closer to the reality than the projections we create to justify and legitimate political power.
