It seems it was not discussed in full in the sense that there was material, nonpublic information about his decline that insiders were not willing to go on the record about.

His public performances and output were being “covered” and widely discussed, but there was significant, probative nonpublic information about his decline that was not reported on. The inner circle saw those things, but were not willing to go on the record about them. Is that so hard to accept?
