Reading Neighborhood Story and either I’m getting old or need new glasses or Viz is using the tiniest fonts they can because I can not read that itty bitty text. The small asides aren’t the easiest as it is and Yazawa uses them a lot. I’m just lucky the tiny notes are rare because I give up.

Storm knocked out the internet and cell signal is crap so getting reception in the ingles parking lot once again. The neon sign is a vibe.

Probably the most obscure are titles from Luv Luv Press, a short-lived line for smutty ladies manga. Pretty much like Seven Seas Steamship imprint but around 2008. I think I ordered most (all?) directly from their site.

My poor Lulu ended up with her toe amputated. Two vets and multiple rounds of antibiotics couldn’t knock out the problem. It really started looking worse…But she’s on the upswing now at least.

Jojo part 3 is crazy because the concept of a stand is first introduced and barely two volumes in it’s escalated already to “this whole ship we’re on is an orangutan’s stand.”

Yeah…just comparing the price jump for preorders vs in-stock is crazy.
I got an email from another online store doing tariff surcharges of 5-50% for preorders when they arrive. Their price for Kagome is already $30 to begin with.

Poor baby is still going through it. Another biopsy on her paw and it seems to be a deep infection, most likely from an ingrown hair. Lulu’s no longer coned but she’s been on three legs and has trained me to scratch her itchy spots on her bad side. More time, more antibiotics.

We named our first dog Nina, completely forgetting about the Fullmetal Alchemist character at the time. Felt awkward when we watched Brotherhood and realized our mistake..
She went to doggy daycare a while where she befriended another corgi, ironically named Tucker. Even got a valentines once.

Finished reading Last Quarter and really it was too much of a elementary-kids-solve-a-mystery storyline for me. It was fine, still Yazawa’s stylish art and interesting characters and a bit of melodrama. Mysteries & ghosts do make a good weekend read.
