This morning, we proudly cut the ribbon on the new Sarah Roberts School in Roslindale!

In 1847, a brave five-year-old girl and her father became the first to challenge school segregation in court. Sarah Roberts and her father, Benjamin Roberts, sued the City of Boston. 🧵

The Mayor of Boston should work for the people of Boston & no one else, without hidden financial interests, conflicts, & entanglements.

I’ve released my full & complete financials every year for the last 12 years. Josh Kraft promised to do so months ago…still waiting!

Donald Trump has proven that politicians today can get away with ignoring basic transparency & avoid accountability on personal financial interests, conflicts & entanglements. I’ve been disclosing financials since before Trump & still believe in good government. Here’s why it matters in this race:🧵
Josh Kraft has yet to disclose his 2024 tax return — in fact, he's filing late
In May, the Kraft campaign said it would release his tax returns “in the near future.” But now the campaign says the candidate had asked the IRS for a six-month filing extension.

#BostonFamilyDay is one of the absolute coolest things @wutrain.bsky.social has done in this first term for Boston residents. Hundreds of folks have been able to experience the City's cultural treasures for the first time with their families.

Today is one of the biggest days yet. Go, go, go.
Today is a #BostonFamilyDay with free museum, zoo, and aquarium access for all school-age children and two guests! Here’s a list of our partners opening their doors to families today! 🧵

For decades in Boston, BMRB was a trusted source of municipal finance & policy expertise. Today they behave as a political action committee to lower corporate taxes.

I declined the annual invite to present advanced insights on Boston’s budget at a $325/person lunch to fundraise for this cause.
Have no idea what @mayorwu.boston.gov is thinking, but — speaking as a longtime supporter of then-Councilor and now Mayor Wu — it was my impression that BMRB, NAIOP and the Chamber unfairly pulled the rug out from under Wu in Dec 24, after agreeing to a compromise. The rationale was paper thin IMO.

This exchange between @wutrain.bsky.social and AZ Rep. Paul Gosar shows the key difference between a smart, tough, capable, big city Mayor and a Republican backbencher in Congress.

Mayors deal with the fallout when Congress plays political games.
