Nanaimo is seeing a similar result with many builders constructing two Duplexes on one lot or using side facing lots for adding an additional housing. Also a few more carriage homes after reforms were passed.

“Strict size requirements backfire when developers choose to forgo accessibility entirely and just build townhouses or small walk-up apartment buildings.” This is what I try to explain to people. My clients with strict mobility needs and large family sizes cannot live in Townhomes.
