The type of regime that uses military-style raids to tear children out of bed in the middle of the night is an authoritarian one. This is a manufactured crisis and an escalation in force and violence that is traumatizing families. Terrifying scenes in Chicago due to ICE.

In order for the United States to become a party to the International Criminal Court and have our officials be subject to trial at The Hague, the US Senate would need to ratify the Rome statute by a two-thirds vote. Let’s start running on that.

SCOTUS thought they could ride the tiger and get what they wanted ideologically. In exchange, they would give him everything he wanted except the Fed. Just leave the Fed alone and you can ignore all federal law. But it ended the same way it has for everyone who tried to ride the tiger since 2016.
