Every opportunity women have in the Armed Forces we have earned through repeated service on operations.

People who have never so much as risked a fingernail for this country should remember this.

Despite his honoured position he never lost his humility, tirelessly and fearlessly advocating for victims of war and oppression around the world.

My thoughts are with those of the Catholic faith in North East Derbyshire and indeed with all those affected by this sad news.

May he rest in peace.
