Glad they’re finding some kind of groove. But then there’s no guarantee they can re-reestablish it with another new roster. It also needs to not take 9 games.

He’s done nothing to escape “his assistants got Cincy to the CFP” allegations, that’s for sure.
I think he *can* create a good vibe. His decision making instincts are actual dog shit, but landing on Grimes appears to have been a good thing and I think the defense understands personnel finally.

He, directly, made mind bogglingly stupid program decisions. Getting this team to improve down the stretch this year is the first actually positive sign of his tenure, but it’s going to be another portal rebuild year, and I have no confidence they’ll get back to the standard.

You articulated this well. He was never dismissive of the state and program. I think he was genuinely excited about coming to Wisconsin and its history/prestige. But he also assumed he could big brain the system before ever learning a single thing about it, and got pantsed.

The ‘26 class is in trouble, but their portal game hasn’t been bad, outside of QBs that keep suffering catastrophic injuries. They crushed it defensively this last class (after several false starts)
