The Utah Jazz tipped off the first extended road trip of the year with a short flight to the Valley of the Sun. They departed fairly early for such a short flight, arriving in Phoenix early enough to enjoy today's 89° temps. No jacket required!

I didn't even think about this last night, but the Jazz took the short hop from Houston to San Antonio after the loss to the Rockets.

It's a beautiful Tuesday night in Cottonwood Heights. The task at hand isn't great, but at least the surroundings are lovely.

My family went FB official with our family's situation last night, so I thought I'd share with my community here as well. If you're wondering why Dan & I have been almost invisible on the socials for the last 10 days, this is why.

Jaden Springer's 10-day contract expired at the end of day Saturday. He is still listed in Utah's Game Notes, which could indicate he's expected to sign a 2nd 10-day deal, but that's not official.
Keep an eye out for either a contract signing or no news at all.

My dad gave me this sometime between the announcement & the 2002 games. He's gone, I've moved 4x, and I had still never used it. Now I've cured it at least, but we didn't need as much food as expected, so it will still be unused. It's gorgeous, though.

Fun fact: most gifts I give are wrapped less than an hour before they are unwrapped. This year unwrapped some yesterday & I'm finishing up now. I'm way ahead of the game!

Getting tomorrow's traditional meal ready. We usually eat this in SLC, so I don't often have to do the heavy lifting...if tearing bread and cutting sausage up is heavy lifting.

The Jazz had taken advantage of 2 days off & geography, coming home between Tuesday's game in OKC & tonight's in Portland. Instead of a 3-game trip with 6 hotel nights, they split it, requiring only 4 overnight stays on the road.
