The UK's Supreme Court has ruled that the Christian religious education taught in schools in the North is unlawful.

It added that to teach pupils to 'accept a set of beliefs without critical analysis amounts to evangelism, proselytising, and indoctrination'.

Holyhead ferry port is to remain closed until January 15th at the earliest, the operators have announced. The closure of the Dublin-Holyhead ferry means about 100,000 people who were planning to use the route to travel to Ireland for Christmas will now have to make alternative arrangements.
