in case you're wondering how day 1 of my CM went (alt text for context to this image)
image of a 4-way nose decider between two Chrono Genesis (the one in front is mine), Orfevre, and Still In Love to explain what happened here: my Chrono has probably ~50-70 less POW than the other three in this dead heat, so she slows down considerably at the last part of the final stretch. the other Chrono starts to accelerate at this point, which is how she manages 2nd. Still takes a wide exit line here, which is probably why she places 3rd here. in the stream VOD, she exits the final corner basically on the other end, so she has to clear more ground in less time here. I imagine I'd have probably lost on acceleration alone if she was any closer to the inside of the corner here, because she picks up speed VERY quickly once she hits the straight line. Orfevre only got this close because I imagine her being taller gave her enough length to poke in at the last possible second. it's really hard to see here, but she's only behind 2nd/3rd by like a 1/2 metre by rough estimate. tl;dr - this horse racing shit serious
