I'm not sure, I like them both really but The Fallen Idol feels so immediate that I'm not sure why it's not better known.

Finished Rebecca this weekend - gosh, a truly great book. I'd have finished it sooner had I not wanted to savour it as much as I did. It's so tense but beautifully written. Hoping to read Jamaica Inn soon, which is supposed to be great too. Another Hitchcock adaptation as well! #booksky #filmsky 🎬📽️

I've had a couple of cats and they both enjoyed the cat dancer/fishing rod toy that someone else mentioned. Also the laser pen was often a hit. Is Brew an indoor cat? I would imagine cats that go out use up a lot of their energy that way so are less fussed but both of mine were indoors.

Magnificent news.

The only one of those I haven't seen is Umbrellas of Cherbourg - I tend not to buy things on physical media that I've not watched before - but it's supposed to be a banger isn't it, so let's throw caution to the wind. #filmsky 🎬📽️

Before I went home I went to the National Railway Museum. Spent a while in the museum's library and it prompted me to buy a book about the trains of my childhood which I will 100% be reading.

A walk around York Minster and the city walls yesterday.

Had a nice day in York! Although when I went to the Yorkshire pudding wrap place I ordered a roast dinner by mistake.

Not seen Better Off Dead but heard it's xmas adjacent. Don't know if it's your vibe but I like Cash on Demand, a bank heist retelling of A Christmas Carol (it's a noir so good for Noirvember ha, AND a Hammer film - a good bridge between spooky season and Christmas). Plus it's 80mins and on YouTube!
