One interesting diff I’ve found btwn the popular conception of autism vs. what I’ve learned about it is that it )seems( so much more about being oversteeped in your senses than your thoughts. I wonder if this is why brainy, verbal introverts on the internet are self-diagnosing as autistic.

I don’t understand why the Big Band music of the gelato place connected to this JuiceLand needs to dominate the space. Floating over the Spanish tile, wacky fruit-colored chairs, and bustling toddler families, it’s like a ghost intoning “Remember the days when we didn’t acknowledge racism?”

With all due respect, that is horseshit. Do you work for free? News is very expensive to produce. And if you can’t afford it, public libraries often provide access to publications like The Times to patrons.
