Obamacare is based on Romneycare, which used to be the Republican plan. But because it had Obama‘s name on it, they voted against it. Now they have nothing to fall back on.

Worth mentioning that they also make a product labeled with lowercase letters that isn’t so heat resistant. Stick with the UPPERCASE labels.

My point is that the problem with good practical governance is the same problem with vaccines. When it works too well, people stop believing they need it.

DOGE dissolving a massive amount of the federal workforce is going to open up chasms in service and competence ppl would have never anticipated.

It goes into that weird thing that genuine appreciation is somehow considered less intellectual than criticism but everybody is getting trained to be such a cynical unfeeling asshole nowadays that I find the smartest people often are the “hell yeah cool song/drawing/story/video” people

I always thought they were just copying The Crickets.

The bright colors were, at least in part, because color TVs were new (to the masses). We still couldn’t afford one, but my uncle had a color TV and he appreciated Star Trek because he felt he was getting his money’s worth. A close runner up was the Flintstones. Purple and orange!
