Arts: music, songwriting, photography, films, books. Anything that touches the senses nicely. OK, I can't avoid politics, but then...none of us can.
So many are. I'm always disappointed by how many musicians and artists of all kinds not only remain there, but seem to use it as their primary social media presence.

But I haven't been conned. I'm just in a minority (usually the case :) )
Anyhoo, I know that your mind is very set - mine, too! I know that we agree on many other things - maybe even some films :)

I don't think that they're conned, I think they're sheep, who agree with a widely-held opinion, because they believe that, ergo, it's right.
I'm really going to stick my head above the parapet now: I *detest* 2001, A Space Odyssey. It's considered a classic, OFC. I think it pretentious garbage 2/3

Anyhow, we all approach things differently. Many have found it emotionally manipulative, I didn't. Conned by the worship? Or marketing? I don't see how: you saw it, you hated it. Fine. Many nod their heads sagely when told something is a masterpiece. You didn't... 1/3
