Denver Ghost, Mission Arcadia, SF Wysteria. Sports and MTG are cool too.
Gah. Meant Eugene. Sorry!

I love that I remember having this EXACT exchange about Missoula Arcadia with the two of you on the other perform two years ago 😂
November 24, 2025 at 6:21 AM
Haha now I *really* have to relisten to it!
November 23, 2025 at 7:41 PM
Lol I'm gonna have to relisten to that one. The notes from my jam chart: "A long breakdown that turns into a mashup of the Give It Time backend and Carol of the Bells? Good times, but not, like, thrilling."
November 23, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Is it a coincidence that this version also happens to have a Pink Floyd jam in it? I think not...
November 23, 2025 at 5:25 PM
I confess I don't get this one. I think both Vegas and SF are a tier above. The "waterfall" guitar/piano interplay in the middle is cool, but it's just a small piece of the jam.

They're the two best, no doubt. I'd give the nod to Toronto as well, but they're both fantastic. And I think they're both underrated because of how stacked winter tour was.

It's in the discussion. To my ears, the 🐐 cover title is still held by Atlanta Half Step 6/20/24, even though Gilford FITS this year gave it a run for its money.

The jealousy emanating from the fans who missed out on MKE is palpable

Awesome jam. Also totally unique. Some parts remind me of Birds of a Feather. Other parts remind me of the verses in Factory Fiction.

I love the Alpharetta Madhuvan and it could move up for sure.
November 19, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Absolutely. I currently have it at no. 10, but it could move up.

No doubt, GR Hungersite is a straight-line bliss jam. But it's one of the best versions of that, and I loved it. And it's not peaky to my ears. It has one, well-timed, epic, not-overwrought peak. Rick is otherwise very restrained up to that point. When I think "peaky," I think Salt Shed Cakes '23.

I'll nominate Cap Butter Rum 3/12/23?
November 19, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Hmm. I wouldn't have thought to group those jams together initially. GR OIOO, Greek Drip, and Eugene Borne might all be categorized as "ambient" or "atmospheric" perhaps. Louisville EorA to me was more... dark and hypnotic? It actually had a tiny whiff of Cap Pancakes 4/7/24 to my ears.

Lol I'm sorry! My beef with MSG Thatch is that they've played virtually the same jam three times before: Arrow 6/22/23, Thatch 2/10/24 (Orebolo), and Drive 9/7/24. So that jam just isn't very exciting to me anymore. But to each their own!
November 18, 2025 at 8:59 PM
To each their own. I think the Boise Rosewood is better than the Seattle Echo '23, and IWATS for that one.
November 18, 2025 at 8:44 PM
The Phish-'94 style jams are not my favorite, I'll be honest. I appreciate and respect them, but I don't find myself going back to them. GR Madh is the exception because that Phish 94 section is not the entire jam. And that's true to a lesser extent with MKE Hsite. But jams like Cabo Thatch? 🤷🏻‍♂️
November 18, 2025 at 8:42 PM
😂😂. I confess I'm STUNNED that Boise Rosewood isn't a consensus top 5, but to each their own. To be it's a hall of famer.
November 18, 2025 at 7:48 PM
Maybe. Attendance bias is real, no doubt. For my money, though, Winter Tour '25 is the greatest run of jamming in Goose's career. My rankings reflect that for the shows I attended (MKE) and those I didn't (Toronto and GR).

But yeah. It's all very subjective regardless. I won't pretend I'm immune.
November 18, 2025 at 6:54 PM
I think the better question is: Did you by chance *not* attend the Milwaukee shows?
November 18, 2025 at 6:44 PM
Off the top of the dome. It's weird that my SOTY (GR N3) isn't on here, but maybe that's because its greatness isn't concentrated in one set.

1. MKE N3 S1
2. MKE N2 S2
3. GR N1 S2
4. Fiddler's N1 S2
5. Sterling Heights S2
6. GR N2 S2
7. Columbus S2
8. Toronto N2 S2
9. Gilford S2
10. SF N2 S2
