It's no longer the 🐐 Dripfield (my vote probably goes to either Grand Rapids 2/14/25 or Phoenix 6/4/25), but it's still a thing of beauty.

Milwaukee 2/7/25 is a hall-of-famer from a jamming perspective. (I could've done w/o the Cali Magic + Flodown combo to end set 1, but that's another story.) It's absurd to have 4 jams of this caliber in the same show, and that's excluding the excellent Arrow jam. Winter Tour, man 🥵🥵🥵

What a set-closing jam. No guitar hero - just a steady, uplifting build that effortlessly snaps to this triumphant three-chord theme. The driving, celebratory energy reminds me of IT Ghost a little bit.

Goose has really leaned into short-but-stunning bliss jams so far this year, and I for one am unabashedly here for it. (Those jams are also a great yin to the yang of the band's other theme for early 2025, which I shall dub "ominous chaos metal.")

Damn. I think Milwaukee Into the Myst 2/8/25 is @goose-band.bsky.social's best show-opening jam in almost two years (since Cleveland AIN 3/26/23). It even sounds like it was composed to start a show! Inspiring, upbeat, and colorful.

Still not over this weekend in MKE. I mean this Empress was so sick and is def a bracket jam. But, among the MKE jams, is it even in the top 8? Top 10? Unreal. My attendance bias is in full force, but I've never seen @goose-band.bsky.social like this before. Can't wait for the rest of this tour.
