At this point, I just want my bus stops to have shelters with actual plexiglass to block out the rain

Considering you don't have the courage of your convictions to show your name. I really don't think you're the best person to be talking about who can take what they dish out

If you. Have to tell someone. To go look up her platform. To get an answer for a question that /she/ was asked.

Then /she/ has failed to answer the question.

I can walk and chew bubblegum. I voted her and can tell you she failed to answer simple questions. Please reread what I said

She could have said "yes I believe in trans affirming care and here it is on my platform"

But she didn't, she said some milquetoast answer about following the law and then pivoted to how Trump is bad. That is not an answer. That is not a yes. Begging you to get your head out of your ass, please

She literally said "I will follow the law" and I'm saying, as a queer Latina whose spouse is non binary, that her statement is not definitive.

You're the one who is insisting people extrapolate. Do not project onto me your own flaws & don't tell me what answer my community should be satisfied with
November 25, 2025 at 9:13 PM
She dodged the question and you're bending over backwards to make it sound more definitive than it was. You can extrapolate and presume it's a "yes" but the fact is that she gave an answer that needed people to extrapolate from

The whole point of an interview is to convey your platform and values. If you speak vaguely and someone (me) is forced to go skimming your website and do the mental math to figure out what you meant....then you failed to convey anything of substance on the topic

Yea there's a level of vitriol that I want to unpack. And honestly it isn't help that most of them seem to be white.

Oh I love it, honestly it's a lot less judgemental than an actual small town so definitely prefer

I kinda don't even want to insult them because the degree of pathetic just makes me feel like a bully

I've only been once and it was so healing in so many ways

It would be mind boggling if not so normal that a white man is praised for the same actions that a woman of color is doing
November 22, 2025 at 7:30 PM
My family used to do it all the time. One of them I still refer to as my cousin because her and her mom would stay with us sporadically

Even if we all let people into our homes, that wouldn't solve the core issue that people are being left onto the streets and we need to understand why.

Unhoused people need support and care that is personalized to their situation and a random Jane Doe isn't always qualified to provide that support
November 21, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Additionally, it's kinda unfair to demand someone let a stranger stay at their home. I don't even like talking to strangers, that doesn't mean I don't care about them.

It doesn't void my politics just because I haven't gone to the furthest extent of charity. Nor should you be expected to

Like, call me crazy but I think if a person's comments are considered "on topic" but people responding to his comments aren't that's..... pretty fucking selective and, in case of this moment, hella marginalizing
November 21, 2025 at 1:36 AM
It's about 25 minutes into the meeting, so if you go to the Livestream you can see him "get some words out" and then the response from Morillo and Avalos.

The first being Morillo pointing out that his speech shouldn't be considered to be on topic on the agenda item

Additionally, it seems like the majority of people who want the permit revoked don't seem to be listening to those that work with immigrant communities.

I've discussed this with community members and they explained that it would make logistics harder for immigrants that are forced to do check ins
