Also, when you need leadership on a very bad football team, and you're a head coach who's trying to keep his job, then Slayton is the type of veteran presence who's important to you. But I really would have loved to see what he could have been with a great QB. think he has untapped potential

An already good Broncos defense is getting better. Now they need to get Bo Nix some more weapons -- probably mostly in the draft.

Kenny Pickett to the Browns still leaves the door open for the Browns to do 2 things: 1) sign Kirk Cousins if Falcons let him go at some point; and 2) draft a QB with the 2nd overall pick. Pickett is a placeholder but at least means they'll have someone to snap the football in 2025

Hoping for Giants fans that Michael Penix Jr. is an immediate upgrade over Kirk Cousins. Because if the Giants lose to the Falcons in the rookie's first start and drop down to 7th in the draft, well, it would be a continuation of the dismal hole the franchise is in.
