Who knows if this will be the last year we will be gifted with these hilarious calendars, but glad they exist for 2025, at least.

The cats and dogs are very large in relation to the structures and landscape, so appear as if they are giant cats and dogs.

As far as I know, I’m not a bot. But I was fortunate to attend Neil deGrasse Tyson’s keynote at BoxWorks 2017, where he suggested we all might be living in a simulation. So, I guess I might be a human battery controlled by robots; who knows?

I've ridden Amtrak's California Zephyr train a few times, and the trip through the Rocky Mountains always takes my breath away. Photo taken December 23, 2014.
The sky is overcast, with one lighter area in the clouds highlighted just a bit by the sun. The photo is taken from inside the train, and shows the front of the train on the right, high up in the Rocky Mountains. There are slightly blurry reddish-brown plants at the front, and dark green trees dotting the snow-covered landscape further back.

In the Colorado Rocky Mountains, taken from Amtrak's California Zephyr train, December 23, 2014.
Photo is a bit dim because of fading light and taken through the train window. The front of the train is on the right side, going along a level track but curving left. The ground is blanketed in snow, with a small river peeking up through the snow in the center. There are mountain peaks all around the train; they're not very tall because the train is very far up in the mountains. The mountains have evergreens and red bushes on them.

Bluesky today from the SF East Bay.
The top of a tall, light green cactus plant, with what I think is a hawthorn tree behind it; the hawthorn (or whatever it is) is covered with small pink flowers. Above is a very blue sky, with a wisp of white cloud in it (also a bit of electrical wire, sigh; it was impossible to crop out).

Our cat, because it’s May but we’re having the same weather as January.
A cat-shaped lump under a leopard-print fleece blanket (sorry, I know fleece is environmentally unsound, but he really likes this blanket).
