Journalists flock to Bluesky as X becomes increasingly 'toxic'
Journalists are finding more readers and less hate on Bluesky than on the platform they used to know as Twitter.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. A year later, nearly half of participants said they had housing.
Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

Waking up to see my favorite college football DFS analyst @ukillbillwalsh.bsky.social wearing an old-school Auburn shirt on the Run Pure Sports show. It's gonna be a great Saturday!

Jumped back into season-long fantasy football this year. After an 0-2 start, I’ve climbed to the top. For now. I’m sure everything will come tumbling down now that I’ve posted this.

If you want to pursue a career in sports media, you need to immerse yourself in sports media. That means reading, watching and listening to content on The Athletic, which should be near the top of any To Do list. For 25 cents a week, this is a steal. #sportsmedia #sportswriting #journalism

Today was a very cool day. Our students learned a lot, and so did their advisers.
It’s not every day when @nytimes.com comes to town. But Theodore Kim came to meet with and encourage the students of @tccthecollegian.bsky.social today. We’re very grateful he took the time to visit.
