The fel that passed for blood for demons is a FALSE life energy that warlocks channel from the netherworld OR convert life force into (converted life force is not really life force). Demons that contain this false life energy are not really living.

If Blizzard Ent. wants to go there: Fel is a substance. It can be animated as animated fel by anima, which means the soul. Prior to being animate, it is inanimate. If it can be animated, it can be reanimated. Fel is also undead. Warlocks are necromancers or animancers who animate the fel with anima.

Blizzard Entertainment does not get to retcon fel magic being some kind of necromantic death energy whose price is actually your very life force (soul) to being technically the force of clowns or magicians whose price is merely a change in their skin color.

Blizzard Ent. does not get to retcon warlocks being seriously taken necromancers who channel demonic fel powers from the netherworld of the dead and essentially make them clowns or magicians who can accidentally summon the wrong demon.
January 7, 2026 at 5:27 AM
Blizzard Entertainment does not get to retcon Sargeras being death incarnate as some technically demon lord-warlock who technically channeled demonic fel-forbidden powers and formed the demonic fel army known as the Burning Legion (SCOURGE OF A THOUSAND WORLDS) to scour all creation.
January 7, 2026 at 5:21 AM
He thinks warlocks aren’t specifically mages or necrolytes who specifically channel demonic fel powers from the netherworld of the dead, but lore had always have warlocks as a form of arcane magicians/spellcasters who use demonic fel (arcane?) powers.
January 7, 2026 at 5:17 AM
Sean Copeland is that type of person who would say warlocks aren’t NETHERmancers who channel/draw fel (nether) powers from the netherworld of the dead even when they have the chaotic energy passive or the nethermancy passive.
January 7, 2026 at 5:12 AM
Who the fuck does he think he is or who made this stupid liar a historian? Warlocks (e.g. eredar warlocks) were from the Nether or underworld — the realm of the dead that type of shit. Their power has always been from the netherworld or underworld.
January 7, 2026 at 5:08 AM
Blizzard Entertainment lacks the dark or nether vision of the necrolytes known as WARLOCKS and clearly the company is paying the price for it. When Sean Copeland was asked if warlocks are harnessing their power from the Nether, Sean Copeland said no.
January 7, 2026 at 5:06 AM
Sean Copeland probably doesn’t want people to think warlocks are necromancers who make a blood pact with demons such as imps for demonic fel powers in exchange for servitude as some kind of lich necrolytes who can command imps phase-shifted to possess corpses.
January 7, 2026 at 5:04 AM
As fel is a demonic necromantic energy, demons would be the source of it along with the Twisting Nether. When someone asked Sean Copeland if demons are the source of fel, he said no. This guy is a full-time liar because demons are the source of demonic energy.
January 7, 2026 at 5:02 AM
Thirdly, fel — when regarding to recent canon — can be conflated with death (which Chris Metzen defined fel as). Fel has also been described as demonic and all things demonic ultimately come from demons and the Twisting Nether (the underworld of the dead). Fel is not just demonic. It’s necromantic.
January 7, 2026 at 5:00 AM
When I asked Sean Copeland how demons are alive since it is entropic, which he described fel as even though he doesn’t think it’s death, he said, “it’s magic”. This idiot doesn’t get to use its magic as an excuse. Demons are not life.
January 7, 2026 at 4:57 AM
Secondly, demons are not life. They are fel. They contain fel. Fel is entropic as in destroys life. Demons would not be living if they contain a force that destroys the life inside them. Demons are also from the underworld of the dead.
January 7, 2026 at 4:55 AM
It’s also a cover for all the nonsense Blizzard Ent. has spewed. First off, warlocks are channelers of the fire and brimstone of HELL. Channelers can be defined as those who speak with (or for) the spirits of the dead. Blizzard Entertainment is cherry-picking which warlocks are hosts for demons.
January 7, 2026 at 4:54 AM
They are from the underworld of the dead. The warlocks’ fel power is also necromantic because it’s from the underworld of the dead. It’s not just demonic. This “fel is the force of disorder“ nonsense is just that. Nonsense.
January 7, 2026 at 4:50 AM
If life (which demons wouldn’t even be) arose in the Nether, so has death. The Twisting Nether CAN be a realm between death and life and it is. This “demons are living beings“ nonsense is just that. Nonsense.
January 7, 2026 at 4:48 AM
Blizzard Entertainment employees are clearly deceivers/liars who don’t get to retcon the netherworld being some sort of demonic afterlife or hell of death for beings such as demons.
January 7, 2026 at 4:46 AM
Ogre warlocks are totally necromancers.
January 7, 2026 at 4:39 AM
They’re totally necrolytes or necromancers who can drain life.
