My new scenario for Littoral Commander: Indo-Pacific has been published on BGG. If during Christmas holidays you want to test it, any feedback is appreciated! boardgamegeek.com/filepage/290...

Testing the first draft of Jialong 2028, my new scenario for LC: Indo-Pacific. Already changed a few things regarding deployment, but I have to check a few more things before involving more playtesters. Still, things are taking shape.

USMC vs insurgents. First pic is front of counters. Second pic is back, where all info is contained. Marines just fired at one INS unit on the nearby heights and scored a hit. (Warfare Modern Tactical Combat by WBS) #wargaming

Second point is a confirmation that Israel and Russia had a deconfliction mechanism to avoid unwanted confrontation in Syria. And the US was part of it. So far it was highly suspected, but not confirmed and US involvement was generally not mentioned. /end

In 2018 CBW objectives have been updated with the revised edition of "IDF Strategy" document, and were more ambitious. However, authors state that only the first was reached, and even that is partially debatable

Started as a series of individual tactical actions, it later became a systemic approach since publication of the 2015 "IDF Strategy" document by Eisenkot himself. The objectives outlined in the document were these:

Finally the "Campaign between Wars at a Crossroads, CBW 2013-2023: What lies ahead?" paper by INSS has been translated. www.inss.org.il/publication/...

It has a full analysis of the Israeli campaign against Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon, from the Israeli point of view. Lots of interesting points

Only towards the end of the game, when Chinese anti-missile defences were running low or exhausted, it became a slaughter. But it was too late. I think in a real situation China would have retreated earlier, as it had already caused lots of damage. (Pic is at the end of turn 4)

US could counter it only partially (but the faces when Glide Phase Interceptor was pulled out to negate the DF-ZF malus to BMD INTERCEPT!) and used CPs for unmanned naval drones to detect elusive Chinese ships. The Logistic Co. was also a vital part of sustained USMC defence.

By end of turn 2, the battle already had a definite structure: China would hit the structures, US would hit the Chinese ships, but not fast enough. When more CPs arrived, China finally selected ballistic missiles to augment their depleting firepower.

Report for LC: Indo-Pacific from a few weeks ago, Sword and Shield scenario. Not complex but highly challenging because it’s an unique situation regarding the protection of fixed structures from enemy long-range missile attacks. As you can imagine, it’s tricky.
