Mostly books and theater.
It pains me to be so lukewarm on a show that features so many artists I admire and all the elements I usually love (Puppets! Plays within plays! Unreliable narrators!) but THE BURNING CAULDRON OF FIERY FIRE does not come together. exeuntnyc.com/reviews/revi...

Site-specific + post-apocalyptic NYC + fancy Brooklyn apartment + cocktails definitely ticks a lot of my boxes. (Considerable audience participation not so much, but I can be bribed with a drink into many things, even that.)

Going over the Manhattan Bridge, the conductor sang the entire Magilla Gorilla theme song. I think there were only about three people not wearing headphones and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly while checking in with one another to confirm this was really happening.

I was terrified of Ann Harris when I started at Random House: a tiny woman in impeccable suits, wielding a fierce stare. Until I worked with her and realized how brilliant and kind she was. Her passing—at almost 100!—is truly the end of an era. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/03/o...
