and Colorado has TABOR which means unless we get something on the ballot (probably earliest concerned 2026) we can't fix a horrible drop in spending because we can't raise taxes at all without a statewide vote.

Note that states with balanced budget requirements cannot just absorb the large federal cuts to SNAP and Medicaid without drastic measures.
