YES!

The times I've suffered from GM burnout has almost always been from the amount of work I was doing on my own for the game. I didn't realize/learn what the problem actually was until I got into more collaborative game environments.

(Now we need to work on her study habits and make sure homework gets done. She takes a little after me in the neuro-spicy department, and has trouble engaging with material that doesn't interest her. Test scores? Solid. Homework.... not so much.)

So today I am thankful for those educators, and the administration that supports them.

I am also thankful for my younger daughter, who has been advocating for herself since she was little.

It struck me how *wonderful* that is.

And... how normal it felt.

This is all we want; to see her treated with kindness and respect, and allowed to live her authentic self.

ALL of her teachers used her correct pronouns and chosen name. No issues, no grumbling, no need for corrections.

The school district, while not perfect, has been supportive through the entire process; this isn't a new thing.

But with everything that's been going on lately...

This week is parent-teacher conferences, and I make it a habit to meet with all of my kids' teachers. Been doing this since they were in grade school.

Tuesday evening was my turn, nine meetings scheduled between the two kids.

My youngest is trans, and has been 'out' since 6th grade.
