GtN duels vs the epic fights at the end of those books in a nutshell lol

What kills me the most about them is a short fight where it's unclear who is coming out of top is a lot of fun! Spending an entire chapter with very poorly manufactured suspense because we all know the main character is not dying to The Big Bad is grueling especially after each successive fakeout.

I haven't had this moment with scifi yet but I've now reached the point where I groan when a fantasy book reveals it has extended action scenes lol

the phrase cum gutters is pretty cursed but they looked frankly insane after i finished my ab workouts today
