Good point. Even if military law theoretically provides that a soldier should disobey an “inherently illegal” order, how is he or she supposed to decide whether a particular order is, or is not, “inherently illegal”? Obviously, he or she can’t consult an expert before carrying out the order.

Yes. My understanding is that it would be impossible to “scrub” the “files” in such a way as to eliminate the numerous references to Trump. At least, that’s my understanding. I’ve misunderstood a lot of things about this story as it’s developed, though.

Yes, that’s right. Neurologists might have trouble figuring out if Trump is actually suffering from dementia, considering that he has always acted like a particularly obnoxious 15 year old bully. It’s so hard to understand how this seems to have helped, rather than hurt, him in his career.

Of course bitcoin is not Trump. Neither is the U.S. stock market. Both are starting to wobble. I don’t like it when anyone gets hurt economically, but I am sorry to say that some people need to experience an economic shock in order to understand how dumb it was to elect Trump as President.
